Special investment fund Trevian Finland Properties I has on 3 July 2019 bought the Jyväskylä Travel Centre in the heart of the city from Jyväs-Parkki Oy. The bus and train terminal operates in the modern property built with high standards in 2002, with several million passengers passing through the building each year. The multi-tenant property has 2,641 m2 of leasable area. There is plenty of parking space in the immediate vicinity, with easy access to the nearby hotels, Paviljonki congress centre and the Lutakko harbour.

On 2 July 2019, the fund also acquired two multipurpose properties in the Savela district, 2 km from the city centre. The buildings have 7,638 m2 of leasable area and they are fully let to 27 tenants. Main tenants include the City of Jyväskylä, GO GO Express Oy (gym) and RTK-Palvelu Oy (property maintenance).

The buyer’s legal advisor in the transactions was DLA Piper and technical advisor Hausala Oy. The sellers’ financial advisor was Aveon Advisors Oy.

The fund already owns the commercial part of the Torikulma property in Jyväskylä city centre, and an 11,000 m2 entity of convenience goods and services in Muurame in the Jyväskylä region.

With a growing presence in Central Finland, Trevian Funds AIFM is looking for a new Area Manager for the Jyväskylä region, to take full responsibility of the fund’s holdings in the area. The Area Manager will implement the fund’s strategy of recognizable ownership and local influence. Duties will include coordination of leasing, building and maintaining client relationships, enhancing local presence and influence, and technical property management.
